Service
TV mounting on drywall, brick and stone, including over the fireplace and on mantel mounts, with the cables run inside the wall so nothing hangs below the screen.

Mounting Height
Most guidance puts the middle of the screen close to eye level when you're seated, which is lower than many people expect. Mounted too high, a TV makes you tilt your head back for an entire movie. Mounted too low, it can be blocked by furniture or look out of place on the wall.
Every room changes the math: the height of your sofa, how far it sits from the wall, whether you watch from a kitchen island too, and whether there's a fireplace or console below. Before anything is drilled, we check the sight lines from the seats you actually use and mark the spot before mounting, so the screen ends up where it's comfortable to watch, not just where it fits.

Over the Fireplace
It can be, with the right checks. Heat comes first: a mantel helps deflect warm air, but the wall where the TV will hang should stay within what the TV maker allows. Next is the wall itself. Drywall over a chimney chase, brick and stone each need different anchors and drilling, and mortar joints and studs have to be located before any weight goes on them.
Height is the other challenge, since fireplaces push the screen up. A pull-down mantel mount solves that by bringing the TV down to eye level when you watch and lifting it back up when you don't. We've mounted TVs over stone, brick and painted mantels, including more involved mantel mount installs.

Hidden Wires
Cords dangling below a mounted TV undo the whole look. The clean way is to run the cables inside the wall, using cables rated for in-wall use, and to handle power with an in-wall kit built for it, because a regular TV power cord isn't meant to be run loose inside a wall.
Sometimes the drywall has to be opened to get past a fireplace header or blocking inside the wall. When that happens we cut small, neat openings and keep a vacuum running as we cut so dust doesn't spread through the room. On brick or stone walls where cables can't go inside, there are other routes, like bringing them down beside the fireplace or using a slim paintable raceway that blends into the wall.

Equipment
Yes. Cable boxes, streaming players, game consoles and receivers can move into a cabinet, a closet or even another room, with the signal carried to the TV through the wall. Remotes still work through a repeater or by using models that don't need a direct line of sight. On one project, every piece of equipment went into the garage so the viewing room ended up with no wires at all.
It's worth planning this at the same time as the mount, because the cable runs for a hidden equipment location are much easier to put in while the wall is already being worked on. If you're also thinking about better sound, in-wall speakers can be wired in the same visit.
Mount Types
The right mount depends on where the TV goes and where you watch from.
Holds the TV closest to the wall. Best when the screen can sit at eye level.
Angles the screen down a little, useful when the TV has to sit higher.
Pulls out and swivels, good for corners and rooms with more than one seating area.
Lowers a TV mounted above a fireplace down to viewing height, then lifts it back.

Questions
Yes. Masonry walls need the right anchors and careful drilling, and we locate solid material to carry the weight before mounting.
Yes. The Frame has its own slim mount and a separate connection box, so it gets its own approach. See Samsung Frame TV and Art Mode integration.
It isn't required, but most thin TVs sound better with help. A soundbar or in-wall speakers can be installed with the mount so the wiring stays hidden too.
